What’s an angel? “Angels” are a type of investor (also known as a private investor, seed investor or angel funder) who are generally high net worth individuals who provides financial backing for startups in exchange for ownership equity in the company. They are the earliest independant investors in a business, generally when the risk is still considered quite high.
These “Angelic Drop-In” sessions (ADI) are a unique opportunity to engage and pick the brain of locally-based angels in a private, confidential setting. These sessions are appropriate for any founder whether you’ve recently conceptualised an idea, achieved early market validation, closed some initial sales, or are generating recurring revenue and need capital to scale.
They will listen, advise and challenge your thinking, to help you build your business in a more effective way and overcome any challenges you may be facing.
Fees: Clinics are free of charge and last 20-30 minutes. There is a limit of 4 clinics per session. Advanced booking is required.
To make a Booking: Go to the FKA ADI website to book a time. The schedule is maintained by Flying Kiwi Angels. If no slots are available, that means all clinics for that month have been booked. Keep checking the site to see if a slot becomes available by cancellation or new events being listed.
For Your Time Slot: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your session begins for a quick prep session with a Startup Queenstown Lakes business advisor who will help you get the most out of your session.
The Angelic Drop-in Clinics are facilitated by the Flying Kiwi Angels (FKA).
Please note: These sessions are not intended to be opportunities to solicit the angel investors for investment directly.
