The Startup Queenstown Lakes Trust is building a strong community of entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors that support each other to build new, innovative companies. To do that, we need a strong team of volunteers, contractors, and partners to execute our programs and initiatives.

We are currently looking for:


Business Advisor

Contract Position. Provide one-on-one business advisory and incubator services to early-stage startups and founders to help them move smartly through the first stages of a business launch.

Commitment: 8-12 hours per week


Startup Mentor

Volunteer. Assist or facilitate in training programs and advisory sessions as an independent, experienced voice.  Provide one-off or ongoing mentor support to founders and startup leadership teams.

Commitment: Minimum 3 hours per month


Event Coordinator

Contract Position. Facilitate and coordinator our event operations, speakers, facilitators, and facility details. Act as point of contact for venues, speakers, and attendees.

Commitment: 4-5 hours per week



Contract Position. Project-based assignments that include filming events, creating original video compositions highlighting the ecosystem, and compelling short video blog content highlighting what's happening in the district. Must provide own equipment for video capture and editing.

Commitment: Per Project Basis.



Contract Position. Project-based assignments writing articles and content to help SQL tell the story of the startups, founders, and supporters who are helping to make our ecosystem successful.  Professional interview and great narrative writing skills a must.

Commitment: Per Project Basis.
