Co-founder of Previously Unavailable James Hurman didn’t disappoint as main act at the Entrepreneur Speaker Series session held at the Lake Wanaka Centre last night. Based in Auckland James made the journey to a wintry Wanaka getting more than expected by having to stay another night in the district when his flight was cancelled the next day. Similarly many in the audience of well over 100 got more than they may have expected when James unleashed a number of product development stories, that intrigued, inspired and for some brought clarity to their own entrepreneurial conundrums. James philosophy of taking products/services to market extremely quickly and frugally not only brought insights, but a road map for those in the audience who wished to follow a path of fast fail/fast success.
James was followed by a informative panel Q&A with past Entrepreneur Scholarship winner Claire Iredale (Wild Diamond), Charlie James (Co-founder of Flying Kiwi Angels) and Mt Aspiring College student Jake Nicholson.
The evening was concluded with the announcement that Belinda Smalls (All Things Baby) was the recipient on the Entrepreneur Scholarship.
The night was certainly packed and the audience stayed on for networking and some complimentary beverages and no doubt entertaining discussion.
