6 Companies to Pitch, 18 to Demo at Tourism Tech Expo
This coming Friday is Startup Queenstown Lakes' first national profile event, taking place on 23 August at the Queenstown Memorial Centre.
Tourism Tech Expo 2019 is a showcase of some of the best tourism tech available in New Zealand and beyond.
The event is broken up into two main parts: a morning pitch session in front of a panel of investors and an afternoon demo session for tourism, hospitality, and accommodation professionals to learn about new technology.
Meet the 6 companies who are pitching
The morning investor session is going to be a blast. 6 companies have signed up to pitch, all of whom are in different stages of the business.

Featured Speaker: Ben Calder of Wherewolf
In addition to investor pitches and product demos, we are lucky to have Ben Calder, co-founder and CEO of Wherewolf, the app for adventure tourism operators speaking on building a global company.
Ben and the Wherewolf team have customers around the globe, and recently expanded offices from Queenstown to Denver in the U.S.
He will be sharing awesome insights into how integrations and partnerships, and a customer-centric focus, are key to building globally impactful tourism tech businesses.
You'll need an all-day operator OR investor ticket to hear Ben speak. The General Admission ticket is for the afternoon only.
18 Companies Will Showcase Their Capabilities
Following lunch, 18 different companies from NZ, AU, and USA will be demoing how their technology platforms work for tourism, accommodation, and hospitality operators.
Each company will have 15-20 minutes on stage to highlight how businesses are using the technology to improve the customer experience, increase revenue, or run a more effective organisation.
Throughout the day there will be times to wander through the Exhibit Hall and meet with each of these companies one-on-one.
